In 1988 SANOVO ENGINEERING took over the rights to produce a patented box dryer. It is constructed as a so-called horizontal spray dryer plant in which the liquids are dried by passing, under great pressure, through tiny jets atomising them into a heated drying chamber.

The SANOVO JW Egg washers is introduced in 1988 with the JW 90. The JW 30 and 180 follow later on in the 1990s. The JW egg washers were specially designed for the Japanese market. The requirements for a washer to the Japanese market was a compact design with a low investment cost.
